Yesterday Ned Lamont beat out Joe Leiberman(D-CT) in the Democratic Primary for Connecticut's Senate seat. In a world where there is a 99% incumbent reelection rate and a lot of uncontested races. Seeing this happen is refreshing and hopefully a start of a trend. Are the American people finally getting in gear?

I am not sure why there was all this attention and almost shocked reaction on the TV news stations that I saw to this. Maybe I'm wrong but if you are not happy with you elected representative that you are supposed to vote them out? Is this not how the system was is designed to work?

Will Leiberman win his seat back as an independent? Only time will tell.
