So I saw Snakes on a Plane this weekend. I thought it was pretty good, but I went in expecting to pay nine bucks to see Samuel L. Jackson say one line. The movie turned out to be very funny. I think the time to see it has passed though. There where a lot of fans at the showing I attended and the crowd participation was strong. That made the move fun to watch. Last year I went to the Star Wars Celebration 3 in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have seen the Star Wars movies hundreds of time but I was not prepared for the fun of seeing them showed in front of 300 fanatic fans of the franchise. The crowd participation and audience participation was just as fun as seeing the move for the first time. This showing was very similar.
If you decide to see it, and the theater is empty it would be the same as watching Rocky Horror Picture show on DVD in you home or on VH1 by yourself, it just would not be the same.
Anyway I was pleasantly motherfucking surprised by this motherfucking movie. I would only recommend this movie if they have a fan showing after this weekend, like a Rocky Horror midnight showing. I would assume that these will start in the very near future.
